Happy Birthday, Joni!

Joni turned 30 this week...so her sister, Janelle & husband, Christian, planned a nice surprise party for her at Buck heads. Pricin' the Dyson

For months now, I have had an obsession about Dyson Vacuum Cleaners. It all began when a friend of mine, Sarah, got one and raved about how great it was! Since that time, I have researched and researched the vacuums and had come to the concision that I had to have one. The only catch was it's price. So, after a bit of saving on my part, Gary helped it fit into our budget. Target was running a special where you could get $100 gift card for buying one, so it made the *gulp* $500 price tag a little easier to swallow. I cannot say enough about this sweeper! With two big dogs, I literally could not keep up with the hair, but I swear this is the best vacuum that I have ever had! Proof? Gary swept the living room floor with our old $150 sweeper...then out came the Dyson. You wouldn't believe what my old Bissell left behind. Okay, well, I'll get off of my soap box...I just thought those of you who have heard me whine for months about the Dyson would be glad to hear that I got one (anyone interested in buying a Bissell on Craigslist??--ha)!

Long Over Due Playdate!

Now that Amy took on a new position at the hospital, we do not have the same off days as before. Because of this, we have not been able to get the girls together for quite a while to play. After we got home from the lake, we thought maybe they could hang out for a bit. They picked up just where they left off, fighting like sisters over the same toys! They did have a good time, though.

Sophia didn't know what to think about Libby walking! Sophia has been walking for months now, and finally Libby can keep up with her!

Holiday weekend

Keaton and Carson (lovingly known to Libby as Key-Key and D0e-Doe) are so good to Libby! They couldn't believe how much she was walking and they were constantly giving her kisses and playing with her. Keaton even let her play his PSP.

One dip or two?

What trip to the lake would be complete without a stop at Nick's Boat dock to get soft serve? Finally, we got Libby her own vanilla & chocolate swirl cone. She loved it! She was such a mess after eating it that we considered dipping her back into the lake!

Worldfest on the Waterfront

Today, Libby & I met Gary downtown for lunch at the Annual Louisville World fest on the Waterfront. I didn't know anything like this existed, and it was really quite amazing. The waterfront was transformed with all sorts of booths representing different parts of the world.

A hot day on the Mount!

Mt. St. Francis had their annual picnic today, and we went early in the afternoon to enjoy their famous chicken dinner! What day on the Mount would be complete without a few stops at the booths? Here Aunt Carrie, Gary & Mimi help Libby decide what number to put her dime on for a baby doll (like this girl needs more toys!)

Unfortunately, there were no winners, with with visions of air conditioners and naps dancing in our heads, we headed home. We were glad that we got to see a lot of people and make our annual donation to the Mount. We plan on going back later tonight to visit the beer garden!
