Boo to You!

Every year since Libby was born we have gone over to Gary's mom's house on Halloween for a party and so the kids can trick-or-treat around the neighborhood. This year, she was Cinderella.

Libby and Carly get ready to head out to find some candy.
Me as the devil...really, do you have to ask?
Nonna and Pop take a second to pose before we all headed up the street to hunt down some more candy!

After we hit a few houses, Libby said that she wanted to go back to get her car. It was pretty apparent why she thought that the car was a necessity for Trick-or-Treating.... Princess Sleeping Beauty 2008

We all had a great time! I know her eyes are almost closed in this one, but I liked that it showed her blue eyeshadow! Libby loved handing out the candy just as much as she loved going up to the houses and getting the candy!

Pirates, Pumpkins and Penguins

It looked like it was going to be a cold Saturday morning, so Gary and I took Libby to the Newport Aquarium for their Halloween party. We enjoyed the morning...which included a viewing of an underwater pirate sword fight, pumpkin decorating and treasure hunting.
Princess Libby was not too scared to touch the slimy creatures (and later even a SHARK!)Mommy & Libby took a minute to find Dory, Nemo and all of our other fish friends.Along the way through the aquarium, we found treasures and got to do a crayon rubbing to find the secret treasure at the end. Trying to see how our little Cinderella measures up the to the size of an actual shark! And what does the Aquarium do with the pumpkins that the divers were carving underwater? Yup, they let the fish eat them...who would have known!?Picking her own pumpkin in the penguin area. The aquarium thought of everything and we really did have a great day!

Pumpkin Carving

This is the first year that we decided to carve our pumpkin. It was quite a task with a 3 year old, but the results were worth it!Gary took over trying to carve the top off of the pumpkin. Libby was not into what the inside "guts" of the pumpkin looked, felt and smelled like. Check out her face...a forced smile...doing anything she could to get away from my hand filled with the pumpkin goo.
The finished product.
Spooky.

Time Out for the Kitty!

As you probably know, Libby's favorite stuffed animal is her Cat in the Hat. Gary and I missed what happened, but Libby got very upset with him and put him in time-out. Poor thing. Hope he learned his lesson.
After Cat in the Hat told Libby that he was sorry for whatever it was that earned him time on the "naughty wall", she scooped him up and went back to talking on the phone. I wonder who she learned that from?

How Tall this Fall?

Today we headed to Huber's Pumpkin Patch to find the perfect pumpkin for Libby. Her cousin Ally has spent the weekend with us, so we were so lucky that she, Evan, Brittany and Cheryl (also known as Mimi II) got to come with us.
Libby and I posing by the pumpkin patch.

How tall this fall? On the left is the picture that I took last year. Libby has the same shirt on and pigtails (she loves wearing her hair in braided pigtails). As you can see, she has grown so much in 1 short year!
Libby and Gary. She looks like she is making a funny face because I told them to smile and say "pumpkin" and I snapped the picture when she saying the "pu" part. I was trying to see if I grew any taller since last year....I'm afraid I didn't. Picking her very own (she liked the ones with the bumps on them).
Again, searching high and low for the one that she wants.
