May the 4th be with you!

Our "All American Girl" enjoyed her first 4th of July weekend at Nonna & Pop's Camp! We got to see lots of friends that we have not seen in almost a year and they were all so happy to get to meet/see Libby! Dave & Jan are seen in the slide show above. They gave Libby her first birthday present and lots of hugs & kisses!

Golf Cart Parade

Every 4th of July weekend for many years, Nonna & Pop's camp has a "parade" with golf carts. These carts are decked out like floats and all of the neighbors gather to watch. Here Libby & Gary check it out.

What would a parade be without candy being thrown? Aunt Nancy gave Libby a taste of a Tootsie Pop. She was crazy about it! Here she is trying to decide how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

Sharing with Daddy.

After a few minutes, we decided to take it away from her. She was so upset...real tears and everything! Someone has a sweet tooth!!

Lend me an ear (of corn, that is!)

I cannot believe how much Libby loves to eat corn on the cob! She devoured it!
So much for baby food! This little girl would rather eat table food any day!
Now, if this isn't the life....

Watermelon Crawl

As you can see, there are not many foods that Libby does not like! Mema told us a while back that she loves Watermelon, and we didn't really appreciate it until we saw her chow down!

Life's a Beach

Gary & I took Libby to the beach at Patoka. She loved the water (as usual) and had fun discovering the sand!

Ring Stacker

Photobucket Album

Over the past few days, Gary has been teaching Libby how to stack her rings. I guess she has already gotten bored with this new found game and was looking for new ways to spice it up. Luckily, Killians is a good sport!

Finding Nu-No

Gary's cousin, Dujuanna, was in town today from Florida. She had not met Libby yet, so we were excited for Libby to see her. Growing up, all of the kids called Dujuanna "Nu-No" for whatever reason...and it has stuck. Here they (and Tommy the cat) pose for a photo at Gary's Aunt & Uncle's house.
Libby & Nu-No play with the wind chimes. They are both easily entertained!

Making Waves

This girl loves the water! We went to a great island this weekend and let the kids play in the sand and in the water. Libby was crazy about it! Playing in her new float.
Staying cool in the shade.
Taking a break with Mommy. Checking out the view from Daddy's seat.
Testing out the captain's chair!
Libby, you have a few graham crackers on your face. Nothing is better than eating an ice cream cone on a hot summer day on the boat! Libby agrees!

After all of that, Libby needed a nap! We made it back to the cabin just in time for the sky to open up and the rain to start pouring. It was a great weekend!

Rock Jumping in Party Cove

One of our favorite spots in the lake is a beautiful cove surrounded by great rocks. Lots of people gather here and drop anchor to swim and relax---so we have named it "Party Cove". The boys love to climb the rocks and jump off....and I have even been known to do it a time or two, as well. Here, Keaton takes the plunge.

Carson even jumped this weekend!

Libby and her Aunt Carrie try to watch some of the older kids and adults jump from the really high rocks.
Taking a dip in party cove with Carrie.

Twins?

We thought it was so funny that Gary & his brother, Chris dressed alike...down to the Greenbaum hat! They are soaked because our evening golf cart ride turned out to be a wash! Maybe we need a windshield on our new golf cart after all!

All American Girl

What's more American than corn-on-the-cob in the summer? Libby loved her first taste of a summer tradition.

Wrong way, but I guess it still works!

Rub-a-Dub-Dub...She's in the big tub!

After a long day on the boat and yummy dinner, Libby was ready for a bath! Here she is enjoying the big tub!!

Still "Only-Defeated"

For those of you who are keeping up, we lost yet another game this weekend. I have to say, it's really become funny how bad we are, and now we have learned to celebrate the things that we do right---we did have 3 really good innings with bases loaded, but still we were beat bad!

Just a little off of the top....

Amy and I went to Betsy's shop so she could get her hair trimmed today. Sophia & Libby played "beauty shop" in Emma's little shop chair.

Maybe we see a beautician in our future. Sophia played with the comb and probably would have even colored Libby's hair if we let her!

The Little Girls visit The Big Boy

After Amy got her hair cut, Shannon, Emma, Amy, Sophia, Libby & I went to Big Boy for lunch. Emma is such a ham!
Emma & Libby pose for a quick shot.

Popsicle, please!

It's the simple things in life that I treasure most....like sharing a popsicle with her daddy!

Happy Father's Day!

Gary & Libby got to spend some quality time together this weekend, playing in the water, swinging, going on golf cart rides, laying in the hammock and even taking a nap together! She is so lucky to have him as a dad! We love you!

Stealing a Kiss

This weekend Amy, Cory & Sophia went down to the lake with Gary, Libby & I. We went out on the boat and went to the lodge to eat a very yummy dinner! Libby loved the lake again and would spend all day in the water if we let her! Again, she is not crazy about the life jacket, but actually even took a 20 minute nap with it on (which is a record!). Sophia, on the other hand, falls asleep as soon we we step foot on the boat! She loves it!
After dinner, Libby tries to steal a kiss from her best friend, Sophia.

Miss Amy & Sophia

Libby loved the swings at the playground!

Twins?

When Amy & I have the girls together (which is often), people often ask us (or just assume) that they are twins! Even we think that they share some of the same characteristics. Being just 9 days apart, they are very simular in stature and often even in personality. I love this compairison from Libby last week on the boat and Sophia this week on the boat. How cute?!

Close, but no Cigar...

We lost another game tonight...14 to 10. We finally scored 10 runs, which we were very excited about, but our team moral is sort of down since we have yet to win a game. We'll keep on trying, though. Libby came to the game with Mimi & Poppa after they watched Carson's tourney. She was such a good girl, they said.

A short team meeting after the game....plotting out our strategy for next week.

Our favorite little cheerleader (looking sleepy since it was way past her bedtime!)
She's not too tired to flirt with Jackson, though.

The Zoo Crew

Today, Amy, Jill & I took the girls to the Zoo. It was a hot day, so not many of the animals were out, but nonetheless, it was nice to be out with all of the girls! Here the three amigos pose next to the zebras.
Next stop...the petting zoo. The girls got to get down and touch the goats. Yum, didn't they smell great?
Sophia gets up-close-and-personal with a goat.
No, Libby, that is not a "dog"....but nice try.
We all pose next to the turtles.
We decided to put on the girls' suits and try out the new water park. It has a whole section just set up for toddlers, so the girls really fit in. It also has the holes that squirt water....which was Libby's favorite part. Kayla was not so sure about the water park...and even explored the "big kid" side.
Loving the water splash in her face! After we all grabbed a quick bite to eat, we took the train back to the gait and decided to call it a day. JP & Jill are going to see Mickey Mouse tomorrow in Florida and we were all getting a little tired!
The two little girls couldn't even make it out to the car before they decided to take a nap. What a fun day!!
