Pumpkin Patch

Today, Gary & I took advantage of the beautiful weather, and took Libby to Huber Winery to the pumpkin patch. We went to the petting zoo and then took a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch!
Our sweet little girl picking her favorite pumpkin! Gary & I couldn't get over how big she looked walking around the pumpkin patch! Here she is with the one that she and her daddy picked out! What a fun day!

Madison's Chautauqua Art Festival

Today, after the game...Betsy, Gary, Libby & I haded off to Madison for the Chautaqua Art Festival along the Ohio River. There were so many craft booths (many were out of my price range) and tons of food booths! Here, Libby checks out an old rail car.

Along the town of Madison, there were tons of cute shops. Gary & I found one that converted the basement to a "nature walk"....complete with animals, trees, a creek and a nice path in the cool air conditioner! Libby loved to get out of her stroller for a while and stretch her legs! I am not sure why I didn't take many photos today at Madison. It was such a beautiful day and Libby was on her best behavior and loved the "people watching". Mimi even got her a handmade wooden puzzle that has her name on it for being such a good girl!

The beautiful Lanier Mansion in downtown Madison. What a cute, quaint town!

Go Keaton!

This morning, we bundled up and headed out to watch Keaton play tackle football. Libby enjoyed being passed around in the bleachers. Here she snuggles with Uncle Chris.
Keaton is #28. He looks so big in his pads & gear!
She loved playing with the triplets! Thank you, Ashlyn, Brooklyn & Carson for sharing your toys with Libby!
Here, Carson & Libby check out the cheerleaders. Libby has already decided that she wants to cheer when she is bigger...and Carson, well, let's just say he has already decided that cheerleaders are fun for boys to watch!
How sweet is that? How in the world does Joni do it with three 3-year-olds? I'll never know!

Ashley & Daniel's Wedding

As most of you know my Uncle Terry just past away a few weeks ago, and his only daughter, Ashely got married last night. She asked my Dad to walk her down the isle and "stand in" for Terry. It was a very small ceremony at Cherokee park with a reception following. It was a beautiful night for an outdoor wedding and we all knew that Terry was there!

Plan B...The Indy Zoo!

At the last minute, Gary & I decided to ditch our trip to Bloomington to see the IU game (which was good because IU lost!) and decided on "Plan B"...to spend the last day of the summer together with Libby at the Indy Zoo. Gary called his old IU roomie, Matt and had his wife & new baby join us. Here, the long-time friends pose with their little girls.
We had a great time, the weather was perfect and Libby was very well behaved. She got to experience her first trip on a Merry-go-Round. Who knew that some things were still free?
Here are Matt, Mellisa & Allison...who is 4 months old and weighs just 4 pounds less than Libby! What a big girl!
No, Libby...that is not a "dog", but is is a smelly goat at the petting zoo!
Petting a shark! Mommy about had a heart attack...but Libby thought it was funny!
After the zoo, we went to Circle Center Mall to get Libby her Halloween costume (stay tuned!), went to eat and then headed home. Since it was still rather early, we did manage to stop at some outlet malls and pick up a few more goodies. Once home, we put Libby to bed and watched a movie (We are Marshall..which was great!). What a fun day!

Dinner with the Study Group

When Gary started Law School, he became close with a group of girls who were also in the same night program at U of L. He met with these girls on most Sundays to study for school and share outlines. He, being the only male, said that he always had to keep them 'on track' and focused on what they were doing, or else they just jabbered. We have met with this great group of people about every other month or so for dinner at one of our homes. This month it was Reva's turn, and she had a delusions spaghetti dinner with lots and lots of wine! Here the group and their hubbies chit-chat.
Libby loved the Redi-Whip that was suppose to go on the cheese cake!

Look at that belly!

Being at a house that is not used to having kids, we had to improvise to find toys for Libby to play with once she grew bored with what we brought. She thought it was funny to roll the exercise ball around and say "ball, ball, ball".

Dinner with Oliver

This evening, Greenebaum treated a few of their attorney's and their families to dinner and the last showing of "Oliver" at the Iroquois Amphitheatre. It was so beautiful out, that at the last minute, we decided to go. Dinner was yummy and we didn't have our hopes set too high that Libby would sit through the play.

Libby & I pose before we go into the show.

Libby chowed down on some strawberry ice cream before the play began.

The set of "Oliver" was very pretty and we were able to stay only through the first song. It was getting late, and Libby was just not feeling it. We did hear the famous "Oliver" line..."Please sir, may I have another". Maybe she'll do better next year when she is a little older!

Party of Five

Today we went to Shannon & Kevin's for 5 of our friend's little one's 3rd Birthday party. Allie, Kayla and the triplets, Ashlyn, Brooklyn & Carson all turned 3 within a few weeks of each other, so their parents decided to have a joint birthday party!

It was such a beautiful night, that we spent most of the evening outside so the kiddos could play. Libby, being the youngest of them all, is just now able to keep up with the big kids! She has just learned this week how to say "Cheese" when her photo is being taken! What a ham!

Above, you can see that the 1 year olds had a blast! Libby & TJ playing on the jumper, Sophia trying out the new slide, and TJ helping himself to some pizza!

The evening also included wagon & golf cart rides and lots & lots of sidewalk chalk!

Finally, it was time for PJ's and the U of L/ UK game. Allie & Libby drew us lots of pretty pictures! Happy Birthday, 3 year olds!!

Blast from the Past

When I saw this picture of Libby & TJ taken this year, it reminded me so much of the one that was taken last year at Kayla's birthday party. What a difference a year makes!!

Lanesville Heritage Weekend

This evening, Gary, Libby & I went to the 32nd Annual Lanesville Heritage weekend. This was always an event that I went to growing up, and it was so neat to see it experience it for the first time. As soon as we got there, we ran into my Uncles Mark & Eddie and my cousin Derek. Mark & Eddie gave us all lessons of different types of tractors as we walked around and saw all sorts of different old farm equipment. I think Libby was most interested in "driving" the tractors. Here's her and Uncle Mark test driving one her size. Yup, it is just my size! (Check out my shoes, Amy!)We ended the night watching the balloon glow and eating hot apple dumplings. What a fun evening!

Activity Table

I got Libby this super cute activity table at a yard sale a few weeks back for 75 cents. She has had so much fun with it! She loves to take the top off, push it down the hall and crawl in the toy storage part...like it's a seat. Here she is hamming it up in her table.
